Dr. Zhi Chen is a seasoned leader in the pharmaceutical industry with 20-plus years of experience in oncology, pharmacology and cancer genetics. He co-founded Gentas Biotechnology in Shanghai, China in 2020 to provide pre-clinical large animal data for drug research and development. Previously, Dr. Chen was Head of Laboratory Animal Studies at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research in China, Group Leader and Senior Scientist at ZymoGenetics, Inc. in Seattle, WA, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan Medical School.

Dr. Chen was recognized with a prestigious Damon Runyon-Walter Winchell Postdoctoral Fellowship from the American Heart Association at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Baylor College of Medicine.
